Dubious Accomplishments
First, in the spirit of the approaching holidays: Merry Christmas. Buy this cd, its totally awesome. Track 9 Barenaked Ladies and Sarah McLachlan is the coolest Christmas arrangement I’ve ever heard.
OK, now on to today’s topic, a little something I’d like to call “Dubious Accomplishments.”
To protect the “innocent” I won’t use names, so we’ll call them X and Y. I was having a dull day at work so I asked X to tell me something interesting to brighten my day. X tells me “ask Y about the sex we had last night!” Naturally, I’m thinking something REALLY interesting happened. Perhaps the bed broke, or the dining table was cleared recklessly, maybe the neighbors complained and the police came, or all of the above and the family pet(s) were traumatized. Isn’t that what you would think? Naturally, I waited until “Y” was online and said “tell me about this awesome sex.” The response I got was “We had sex twice. The second time was the Best Sex Ever.”

In an instant my whole morning was shattered. I was hoping to live vicariously through someones quasi-pornographic sex. Sex that wasn’t “i’movulatingtakemenow!
Twice? I wasn’t aware twice in one day was an accomplishment.
Y said “Until Z years ago, neither was I.”
So, tell me boysandgirls IS sex more than once a day anomalous? I don’t mean not having time to have sex 2, 3, 4, or even 6 times in one 24 hour period, but actually having the stamina, interest, or bodily function to give it another go. Who are the weird ones? Us or them. Do tell.
Four More Days**
**Until we descend upon Madison.
So… who’s buying us drinks Saturday night?
Monthly Update
Yes boys and girls, its time for my monthly blog update. Lots of fun and exciting things have happened in the past month. Not necessarily to us, but I’m sure they’ve happened somewhere.
We did buy a brand new car. Its a shiny, brand new 2002 Honda Civic EX 5spd. It had all of 41 miles when we drove it off the lot. We put about 5 on test driving it. It has replaced that POS Mike used to drive known as the Corolla. Now if you’re quick you will soon realize that this means Mikey is now driving a manual transmission. Almost nearly completely successfully too. I believe he’s killed it an average of 4 times per day in his first week of driving. If you factor in the up hills on the way to work, he’s doing marvelously. I think we should all congratulate Mike on learning so quickly.
In other news, we also added a new Vaio laptop as an “anniversary present” late last month. This means that if we had actually put up a tree it would have nothing under it, unless you can drive a car under a Christmas tree without destroying your house.
Finally, we’ll be heading back to Wisconsin in just over a week to celebrate Christmas with the family. We’ll be descending upon Luke and Amy and their dogs for about 4 days. We’re looking forward to going out and having some fun and since I’m not pregnant (yet) I can still enjoy a few more drinks.
