One year down... and what the hell is a paper anniversary?

Today marks the end of our first year of being married. Wow. It seems a lot longer because Mike and I have been together longer than just a year. We’ve been together three years now, and I felt like I was there to stay long before we got married. At least it gives us a date to celebrate that isn’t New Years Day… that would be a bit hard to explain to the kids some day…. or even the parents now…

p.s. love you, Mike!

Three days til our anniversary

Wow!

Can you believe its been almost a whole year since we got married? Last year at this time I think we were on our way to getting hammered at the best combined bachelor/bachelorette party ever thrown.

Something horrid and something funny

OK. So the damned Republicans took it all. The only thing we can really hope for is that they f**k it all up so bad that they all get booted out of office in 2 years.
In the meantime… do you think Global Warming will make Canada a more attractive place? Perhaps Toronto would be a nice city to live in, eh?

OK, the funny bit now. So I was surfing for people. Mostly old friends I haven’t seen in a while to see if I could find an e-mail address or homepage. What I did find was fabulous.
Apparently, Ryan Donnelly is SUCH a common name that it was used liberally in an online romance novel. Read it here.
Also, here is a lovely picture of Ooks from circa 1989. Love it.
I am so dead.
Unfortunately, I can’t find any other silly pictures of people to post here…. yet….
P.S. Is it a bad thing when you look up an … umm… ex and find that in every single picture he’s holding an alcoholic beverage of some sort?
Not that I would do such a thing… its a purely hypothetical thing. Of course.
And as a final addendum, its only 2 weeks til our 1 year anniversary!! Yay us. We’ve already made it longer than most Hollywood marriages. Woo!
As a bonus, I haven’t spent the entire fall with an uncontrollable eye-twitch. Weddings cause tooooo much stress. Advice to anyone planning on getting married.
