I was tired today. At first I couldn’t sleep because I itched. Then at 12:30 am Adam came upstairs wet. Despite the fact that I was sitting next to my bedroom door reading a book and had the light on, my little sad, wet sleepwalker walked right into our closed bedroom door. thunk
I carried him downstairs, changed him, changed his sheets, tucked him in and went back to my scratchy chair and my damp, rough towel. 30 minutes later Adam come back upstairs, this time coming straight to me instead of straight into a closed door. “mommy i need you.” I try to convince him to go sleep in my spot on the bed. He goes to look and comes back a few minutes later. “Daddy’s there,” he tells me. Daddy, it seems, has sprawled in my absence.
I take him downstairs, tuck him in, and lie on his floor and fall asleep til 3:30am. I pick my stiff, aching, body and go back to my own soft, not-on-a hard-floor bed.
We suspect that watching the episode of Firefly (Hands of blue, two by two) where the people are killed with the buzzing magic wand that makes you bleed out of your fingertips, mouth, nose, and ears with Adam in the room might have been a bad idea. Particularly since Mike paused the TV right where the guy is screaming and bleeding to tell Adam not to watch the scary show.

Anyhoo…
So I was tired at work today. (tired and itchy)
I needed a pick-me-up in the form of fast, catchy music.
My iPod was completely dead and it needed to charge before I could listen to anything.
After 30 minutes I grew impatient sleepier and tried to do the thingy where it’s connected and charging, but you can control it from the clicky wheel. In a sleepy haze I pushed what I thought was the right button combination. It didn’t work. It just seemed to reboot itself. I tried again.
Nope. nada. still charging. but I’m soooo sleepy and need music to wake me up
I disconnect from the computer and go to cue up a playlist.
Whaaaaaaaa?
It’s blank. My iPod has been wiped. All 17.5GB of music… gone. Wiped clean.
I’m so annoyed, it’s going to take forever to get all that music back on.
