Stuff and Junk
We got the dam removed and the adjuster came out to assess our damage.
I don’t know what his assessment in $ will be, either it will be worth the insurance claim, or it won’t. sigh
I realized today at work that suddenly, without warning it was Thursday. Christmas is in 4 days. I haven’t baked a single cookie, wrapped a single present, or even finished my Christmas shopping. Stupid Amazon.com said it shipped my packages via USPS and helpfully provided tracking numbers that the USPS never updates. For all I know, my packages could be in New Jersey and my gift recipients will received a wrapped envelope with the name/description of their gift.
Even more startling to me is that 2008 is rapidly approaching. I’m not prepared for a new year. I’m not sure I ever got a handle on 2007, and poof it’s gone.
So in 4 days I have to plan 2 parties, finish shopping, wrap presents, clean and decorate my house, bake cookies, and mentally prepare myself for another year.
Ha ha ha (nervous laugh)
Sweet jesus, I have had my shopping done for MONTHS, and I haven’t wrapped a single present either. AGH!!!!
No wonder you sounded stressed...
If you’re counting New Year’s Eve as one of your two parties, don’t – it’s more than 4 days away, and you shouldn’t worry about it. If you’ve actually got two parties – I’m sorry.
USPS sucks at tracking. Often times my packages will just say that they’re at a sorting station or something like that and the tracking information never updates. NEVER. But they do usually show up by the day they say they will arrive.
I didn’t work very hard at giving Christmas gifts this year. I feel kind of bad, but I did get things that people told me to buy. No one is going to be surprised. Maybe Brian will still be surprised; he tends to forget what he asked for.
