Everyone around me seems to be sick, so far I only feel like a truck has run me over, backed up and ran over again. 800mg ibuprofen and no relief! What I want is a hot cocoa with brandy and a nap.

Tomorrow I have to go to Chicago for a work meeting. Glass half full side: I get to hang out with Scott and see his new condo. Glass half empty: I’m probably going to be fighting a cold and then I’ll have to drive all the way back to WI on Thursday night feeling like poo.

This weekend could be jam-packed with non-stop fun and excitement. Saturday afternoon/evening is already taken up with the “Thanksgiving” potluck we’ve been invited to.
Cruelly, the forces of the universe have conspired to tempt us and overschedule us. All weekend (Fri-Sun) is both the Wisconsin Book Festival and the Madison Food and Wine Show.
Sunday at 5pm Neil Gaiman (among others) will be speaking at the Overture Center and I’d love to see him and get Good Omens signed so that we have both Pratchett and Gaiman’s signatures. Note: Babysitter definitely required – I don’t think Adam would be very interested just yet.
Food and Wine definitely requires a babysitter and I don’t know if I can justify imposing on family 2 days in a weekend so I can galavant off to drink fine wines and get books signed.
