HP and the DH
I didn’t go the bookstore at midnight. Late Saturday morning we strolled into Target, turned left, and practically walked into a display of the books.
All too easy and so much less angst than staying up all night.
Then we drove up north for a family picnic and I read the book. For the first time in my life I didn’t get carsick reading a book. I got 300 pages into it before we switched drivers so that I could navigate to the family picnic site in Turtle Lake.
I finished the book at about midnight last night. I sleepily decided that i needed to re-read the last few chapters when I was more coherent. So I did when we got home this afternoon.
Of course I can’t say a damn thing about the book. Mike has decided to re-read the previous 6 before he reads 7. I’ll probably want to re-read them again and pay a little more attention.
Not a spoiler, I swear, but I really didn’t expect the last chapter. Did you?
No spoilers
Thank you for the no-spoilers. I haven’t started reading it yet and almost feel like I should sequester myself until I finish it. I was reading an online story about why the Potter books are not included in the NYT Best Seller lists anymore, when some idiot put a spoiler in one of the comments — without any warning! I looked away after a couple of words and what I caught was vague enough it really doesn’t matter, but I think complete Harry Potter avoidance is what I need now.
Don't read any HP news
Every news article I read that allowed comments had spoilers posted by people.
Apparently someone was walking down State Street on Saturday with a t-shirt listing all the HP spoilers. It seems some people wanted to cause bodily harm to this person.
