Hot Sexy Reasons for Blogging

Ms. NoH tagged me with the reasons I blog meme thingy. Before I answer those I have to add some history:

Way back in 2002 (possibly earlier) Mike secured b___.org, his uncle owns b___.net and someone in the UK is squatting on b___.com (curse them!).

At that time Mike wrote a blog engine for me because all the cool kids had their own vanity domains and blogs and I wanted one, too.

Back in those days I had a lot of regular readers and I’d purposely blog things just to spark comments from everyone. I blogged about things I can’t even imagine blogging about now. I used a lot more profanity, too. Re-reading the old posts is fun and reminds me of our time out in DC and our early relationship.

So, why do I still blog? I won’t have 5 reasons because Mike blogs now and I’ll save a few for him.
1)I still blog because sometimes I have something I want to complain about and here is a perfect medium.
2)I blog because sometimes I did something I think was worthy of remembering and if I put it here, it’s here indefinitely and I can look back at what I was doing waaay back in 2002-2007.
3)I blog because I don’t always get to see my friends and family and occassionally they stop by here and catch a brief glimpse of what’s going on with the B___s.

Sometimes I write big long posts, only to delete them or never actually post them. Sometimes I delete them because they’re too long, or too personal and I don’t want to be the emo-mom on the block posting about my innermost feelings.

The whole idea behind a non-b___ domain was to give us both a chance to blog without it being explicitly related to us. We went with Armlessbear because it was a silly name that doesn’t really mean anything to anyone but us. There’s a whole story behind the tagline and the armless bear at the top of the page. Many of our friends know it because 1) I have a big mouth and 2) it’s a damn funny story when you think about it.

I don’t have 5 whole new people to tag, but I do tag these people:

Musevia – because she blogs a lot and I like reading her blog
Amy – because she doesn’t blog enough, and should blog more
Jon – Because he blogs semi-regularly and has introduced great music into our collection via his blog
Lukpac – Because he blogs more than Amy and posts some cool pictures
