In a fit of uncharacteristic ambition I got up at 7am, got dressed and headed out to the garden. I hoped I could dig up some of the soil, mix in a couple bags of top soil and get my peppers into the garden before the wasps woke up.

I managed to get in the hot green “garden salsa” peppers and some red and green bell peppers before Mike spotted a wasp a few feet from my position.

Thats when we noticed Clio in the other “garden” eating the leaves of a tall plant. A while back I bought a catnip plant to have something to give the kitties once in a while. It now appears paying for catnip was quite unnecessary since it is growing in abundance in the other garden. Clio would eat a few leaves, lie down for a while, run away chasing invisible bugs and then return to the catnip for another hit. We finally dragged her in the house where she is uncharacteristically mellowed out in the office.

I was forced to finish my planting of the other peppers (banana, paprika, some more green peppers) in pots on the patio so that they wouldn’t die before I had a chance to get them into the garden. I also finished planting a new cilantro and some actual mint into small pots.
