Cookie Baking Party

Saturday afternoon we got together at my in-laws house for a Christmas Cookie baking party. We had 4 children present at first, although tiny little baby E slept like a champ through most of the mayhem and little C. went home with daddy after a couple hours. The boys, hopped up on sugar, were a surprisingly well behaved force of nature, right up until they were surrounded by more baked cookies than any child should ever be subjected to. (pics to come later)
I think a good time was had by all and we came away with some awesome cookies:
Biscotti, Spritz, Gingerbread, Peanut butter chocolate kiss, chocolate sugar cookies, spice cookies, bourbon balls, egg-nog roll-out cookies… I think that covers it. Delicious! I definitely think I’d do it again next year. It’s quite nice to have a diversified holiday cookie mix and have a good group of people to work with. And (hehe!) I put the remainder of the kisses in J&E’s box so that I didn’t have to take them home!

whoops

I tried to post a comment, but I think I forgot that it was a two step (preview then publish) system.

That cookie party sounds like fun! I’m going to make rolled sugar cookies today. Brian has the afternoon off tomorrow, so we’ll decorate them then.

Mmmm.
