I know that having The Buggles stuck in my head isn’t the worst song that could be running through my head.
I think I feel sorry for Adam who seems to get songs stuck in his head already and can’t pull out an iPod and listen to the damn song to make it go away.
Ooh-wa-oooh
I met your children
Ooh-wa-oooh
What did you tell them…

His newest development is this cute-but-annoying phrase.
“Adam, time for bed.”
“oh man…” (except it sounds like me-aan)
Adam, you have to wear socks, it’s cold out.”
“oh, man…”

This is a lot better than the other disturbing trend of saying “na-na boo boo,” some scatological reference… “you’re a poopy butt!”, or his other disturbing trend of having things making shooting and exploding noises.

Yep, that’s my boy.

LeenGreenBean said that before she had her son, she hated the saying “He’s all boy!” referring to a masculine way of doing things. But since then, she’s seen it, and caught herself thinking (and saying) it. They really are all boys at heart.

Adam’s current favorite song is Video Killed the Radio star. Everytime I drive the Honda I have to play the CD with that song on it. He also still enjoys Queen (We Will Rock You), The Monkees (Daydream Believer), and Statler Brothers (Flowers on the Wall).
I can’t quite him to pick up my affinity for the Beach Boys… yet.

Oh. We have to get you a copy of “Philadelphia Chickens.” It is … well, let’s just say there was at least a full week when all we could listen to in the car was “We’re Remarkable Cows.” It’s actually kind of cute. It’s a Sandra Boynton book written like a musical revue, and a bunch of stars recorded the songs (Meryl Streep, Kevin Bacon (who sings a song called “Snuggle Puppy” with his brother) and Kevin Kline).

Oh, it’s a lot of fun. Nathan has also gone through a whole phase of wanting to hear Neko Case, who is very good, but some of her lyrics are a bit adult. Also, anything with serious drums, like “Obvious Child” by Paul Simon.
