This morning at the extremely early hour of 4:30am I drove Mike and Amy to the airport for the purpose of attending a friend’s wedding in Miami. Even though Mike didn’t get to go home and go back to bed for a couple hours, I’m going to complain about how tired I am anyway. I need a nap and I sincerely hope Adam is tired tonight becaues I’m going to want to go to bed early.

I’m not used to Mike being away. The week we spent apart while we were moving was weird enough. This one is harder because he’s in Miami having fun and its warm and sunny and pretty there. That, and the house is lonely with him gone and Adam is confused when Daddy is away.

I’m really hating this stupid weather. We haven’t had an opportunity to mow or do any sort of garden work. The dandelions are already taller than the kitties and in danger of growing taller than Adam. We just haven’t been able to mow because of the inconvenient rainstorms in the middle of the afternoon.
Similarly our “garden” is growing weeds and thistles and other unpleasant looking flora. I’d love to dig them out and kill them — not as any favor to our landlord, but just to keep Adam safe from falling onto a thistle.

And now that I am done with my bitching I’m going back to work.
