Adam's Adventures in Daycare

Today Adam helped Kindercare perform their monthly mandatory fire drill.
Yep, he pulled the fire alarm. Having never pulled one, I don’t know if it is hard to do or not.
I don’t know any of the other details, but I wish I could have seen it.

Yesterday Adam and I were in the car going to that trainwreck of a grocery store — Woodmans. (As a funny aside, the LAST time I was in Woodmans was Dec 31, 1999 buying liquor and fixin’s for my favorite sneaky-bitch punch. Later that evening, I met Adam’s father.)
Anyhoo, on the way to Woodmans Adam says “we will rock Yoooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!”
Huh?
Nah…
Adam, I say, We will Rock you?
“We will rock youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!”
I grabbed a CD from my stash in the Honda which oddly enough had “We Will Rock you” and some other of my Queen favorites.
Apparently, Adam is familiar with Queen. He even sorta kinda matched the opening high note on Somebody to Love.

When I got home I remarked to Mike that daycare must be playing some non-standard kiddie tunes because Adam knew some Queen songs. Mike informed me that sometimes at the end of the day he has heard them playing Queen.

Then we said “Adam — scaramouche, scaramouche, can you do the ….”
“FANDANGOOOOOOOOOO!”

I don’t know — should I be disturbed?
Later that night he wanted me to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, so I guess he’s learning normal kiddie songs too.

At least I don’t have to look up all the words and try to sing a 5 minute Queen song.

Cute!

That is so cute. I’ve never pulled a fire alarm either. I need to live a little.

Pah whaaaa? Pah is deafspeak for finally!

Finally. What a maze I wandered through to find you guys. As dense as a thick forest I was, as confused as a sea of fish I was….now no more and surrounded by a bright light – hallejuah, there you all are!

You’re lucky at least Adam’s saying we will rock youuuuuu.

When Giovanni was Adam’s age, he went around saying, “It’s simply to dieeeee for.” quoting that famous line Scar said in “The Lion King”. I think he kept saying that for months….boy did I have to keep myself from going crazy….

Hope to catch sight of y’all when I’m in Mad City for a few days in July – hang in there about the house business.

hugs, Allison!

Happy Birthday
